AI Engineer

Role overview

AI solution delivery

• Design, develop, test, and deploy AI solutions for retail banking operations.
• Build applications, copilots, virtual assistants, and AI agents using enterprise AI platforms.
• Create scalable, reusable AI components and customer experiences across digital channels, mobile, branches, and contact centers.

RAG, integration, and governance

• Build RAG solutions using enterprise knowledge, data, and content, and design agents that interact with enterprise systems and workflows.
• Translate business opportunities into valuable technology solutions and contribute to AI governance, evaluation, monitoring, and model optimization.

Collaboration

• Work with an AI Architect, Data Engineer, and business stakeholders to identify opportunities, redefine processes, and deliver solutions at scale.

Technology stack

• Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, Claude, Azure AI Foundry, RAG, AI agents, Python, Azure Cloud Services, and CI/CD.

Candidate profile

• At least five years of experience in software engineering, AI solution development, automation, or related disciplines.
• Hands-on generative AI and LLM integration experience; strong RAG and AI agent development experience.
• Python proficiency and working knowledge of at least one of C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with Azure and enterprise cloud environments, and integrating enterprise systems, APIs, data sources, and applications.
• Banking or financial services experience is highly desirable; strong communication and business-team collaboration experience is required.
• Professional-level English is required.

Work model and locations

• Hybrid work model with two days per week in the office.
• The description lists Montreal or Edmonton as work locations.
