AI Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy models for customer retention, personalized marketing, and operational automation.
• Prepare and transform data with data engineers for model training and testing.
• Monitor and optimize production models against performance targets and business value.
• Build and maintain scalable AI pipelines and support deployments across operating companies and regions.
• Select and implement AI frameworks, tools, and cloud services; collaborate on reliable MLOps deployment, scaling, versioning, monitoring, and updates.
• Troubleshoot model and pipeline issues, research emerging AI developments, and evaluate vendors’ solutions against in-house options.
• Coordinate with Group employees on AI strategy and operating-company analysts and leaders on model adaptation.

Experience and qualifications

• 5+ years of AI or machine learning engineering experience, including hands-on development and deployment.
• Telecom experience, with expertise in network planning, optimization, or operations.
• Strong Python and machine learning library proficiency, including TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
• Experience with cloud-based AI platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure AI; familiarity with data engineering and pipeline development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a relevant master’s degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of MLOps, version control, continuous integration, model deployment, distributed computing, and cloud infrastructure.
• Reinforcement learning or advanced machine learning experience is listed as a qualification.
