Role overview

What you’ll do

• Lead discovery with business and technology stakeholders to clarify objectives, current landscapes, and customer experience requirements.
• Define target architectures across AEM Sites, Assets, and Forms and AEP products including RT-CDP, Journey Optimizer, Target, and Analytics/CJA.
• Translate business and experience requirements into scalable, secure, maintainable technical solutions.
• Document decisions on AEM Cloud Service versus on-premise/AMS, headless versus hybrid delivery, and data and identity strategy.
• Design Adobe integrations with CRM, commerce, ERP, CDPs, identity providers, and data warehouses using APIs, event-driven patterns, and middleware.
• Define data models, XDM schemas, identity resolution, and audience segmentation for personalization and journey orchestration.
• Lead development teams through reviews, standards, Cloud Manager CI/CD, and environment strategy; ensure performance, security, accessibility, privacy, and applicable data residency.
• Contribute to estimation and scoping; prototype approaches; identify valuable AI uses; advise on roadmaps, licensing, and adoption.
• Produce solution designs, integration specifications, and decision records; collaborate with UX, data, marketing, and delivery leads.

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years in digital or enterprise technology, including 6+ years architecting on Adobe Experience Cloud.
• Track record leading end-to-end Adobe implementations on large-scale, multi-workstream programmes.
• Consulting or systems integration experience delivering for enterprise clients in a structured, client-facing model.
• Deep hands-on AEM expertise, including Cloud Service, components and templates, Sling/OSGi, Dispatcher, content and DAM architecture, and headless delivery with GraphQL and Content Fragments.
• Strong working knowledge of AEP applications, with practical experience in data ingestion, schemas, and identity.
• Integration and cloud architecture skills, including REST APIs, Adobe I/O/App Builder, and Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Communicates architecture clearly to senior business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Works independently in a contract capacity and becomes productive quickly within established client teams.

Good to have

• Adobe Certified Master or Expert certification, such as AEM Architect or AEP Architect.
• Experience in regulated or public-sector environments, including financial services, government, or telecoms.
• Experience with Adobe Commerce or Workfront.
