Lead the programme's academic and strategic direction, teaching quality, curriculum, faculty, research, and student support.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the programme's academic and strategic vision and ensure teaching quality and curriculum coherence.
- Lead the teaching team and oversee development of new courses.
- Promote research projects and international collaboration; manage resources and academic planning.
- Recruit and support students and represent the programme in internal and external forums.
- Coordinate with university units to align the programme with institutional policies and student needs.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (doctorate or master's) in Asian studies, humanities, social sciences, or a related field, with a strong academic track record and experience directing university programmes or departments.
- Leadership, team-management, and decision-making skills for a multicultural academic environment.
- Experience in curriculum design, teaching innovation, academic quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
- Research expertise on Asia and ability to advance projects, publications, and international collaboration.
- High-level English required; an Asian language and experience in Asia are preferred or valued.
- Communication, public presentation, and institutional-relations skills to represent the programme externally.
