Adjunct Faculty – Business

North Central State College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach the following in-person courses for Fall semester

2026 (starting 8/17/26).

Intro to AI and Business (BUSM 1012)

This course exposes students to a broad view of the business enterprise. Special

emphasis is placed on the role and importance of entrepreneurship and small-

business management. Students gain insight into the necessity and mutual

interdependence of key business functions, including management, human

resources, operations and quality, marketing, accounting, and finance. Additionally,

topics of globalization, economics, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in

business decision-making and operations are introduced. Throughout the course,

students develop problem-solving skills by applying basic business math to typical

business scenarios and by exploring how emerging technologies, including AI, can be

used to support business analysis, communication, and strategic decision-making.

Quality (BUSM 1270)

Quality improvement is recognized as an essential function in any successful

organization. Leading corporations have demonstrated that improved quality raises

profits, reduces costs, and provides competitive advantage. This course will explore

the foundations of quality, tools and methods for analytic study, and administrative

systems for quality management.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in business administration, or master’s degree in related field with 18 semester

hours in business beyond principles, or master’s degree in related field with two of the following: in-field

professional certification or in-field professional employment, or teaching experience or in-field research and

publication or relevant additional training equivalent to 18 semester hours of CEUs, military training, vendor

training, etc.
