Job Description
The Receivable Accountant is responsible for managing customer accounts receivable activities, ensuring accurate posting and allocation of customer payments, maintaining customer ledgers, reconciling accounts, and supporting timely collections.
The role ensures compliance with accounting standards, banking procedures, and internal financial controls while maintaining accurate financial records and minimizing overdue balances.
Education
Degree or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
OR
Plus II with Diploma in any discipline and a minimum of 3 years of Accounts Receivable experience.
Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable or Receivables Accounting.
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of:
Accounting principles and practices
Receivables and overdue management
Banking procedures
Financial reconciliation processes
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Experience
using ERP systems (Microsoft Navision preferred).
Fast and accurate data entry skills.
Soft Skills
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Proactive and self-motivated.
Adaptability and initiative.
Problem-solving and reconciliation abilities.
Preferred Certifications
The following certifications are preferred and can strengthen the candidate profile:
Certified Accounts Receivable Professional (CARP)
Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) – Part Qualified or Certified
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Diploma in Accounting or Finance
