Accounting & Tax Specialist (6 Month Contract MNC)

We are recruiting an exciting with a leading multinational organisation in Dubai for an experienced accounting professional to join their regional finance team on a 6-month contract basis.

This is a broad and hands-on role offering exposure across month-end close, reporting, VAT compliance, payroll support, audit coordination, and regional accounting operations within a fast-paced MENA environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end accounting activities and journal postings
• Prepare fixed asset schedules, accruals, prepayments, and inventory adjustments
• Perform GL reviews, reconciliations, and variance analysis
• Support cash reporting, stock calculations, and intercompany accounting
• Assist with SAP auto-accruals and regional accounting processes
• Prepare and validate VAT reports and reconciliations
• Support VAT returns, refunds, and voluntary disclosures
• Assist with ESR submissions and ad-hoc tax queries
• Ensure ongoing compliance with internal controls and regional regulations
• Prepare detailed balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain reconciliation logs and month-end checklists
• Support exchange rate reporting and intercompany billings
• Assist with payroll processing, expense accounting, and staff lease invoicing
• Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors during year-end review
• Liaise with regional shared service and reporting teams across MENA

Requirements:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant preferred (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA)
• Strong experience in month-end accounting and reconciliations
• Exposure to VAT and regional compliance requirements
• SAP experience highly advantageous
• Previous experience within a multinational environment preferred
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail
• Able to work independently in a deadline-driven environment
