Role Description
The Accounting Manager role is a part-time, on-site position based in Dubai.
The individual in this role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, including managing general ledger activities, preparing and reviewing journal entries, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Responsibilities include supervising the preparation of financial statements, monitoring fixed asset registers, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and maintaining compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations.
The Accounting Manager also reviews account reconciliations, analyzes variances, coordinates with internal stakeholders and external auditors, and supports process improvements to strengthen financial controls and reporting quality.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in preparing and reviewing financial statements and managing core finance processes.
- Candidates should possess solid analytical skills, including the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
- Candidates should possess practical experience with journal entries (accounting) and general ledger maintenance.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of fixed assets accounting, including asset capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
- Professional qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a relevant certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Excel, along with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai, manage part-time schedules effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in outsourcing/offshoring or service-based industries and familiarity with UAE financial and tax regulations are beneficial.
