Accountant – Rent A Car Experience Required

About This Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the entire accounting function of the company
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting
• Prepare and present financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports
• Monitor and control cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting
• Ensure full compliance with UAE VAT regulations and statutory requirements
• Manage fleet accounting, including vehicle acquisition, depreciation, disposal, and leasing structures
• Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to improve profitability
• Supervise accounts payable/receivable and ensure proper internal controls
• Coordinate with external auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and cost-control measures
• Identify risks and ensure proper financial governance and compliance
• Support management in business planning and decision-making

Requirements:

• Minimum 4–6 years of accounting experience in the Rent A Car industry (mandatory)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (ACCA/CPA/CMA is a strong advantage)
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, corporate tax, and financial regulations
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Hands-on experience in fleet accounting (vehicle depreciation, leasing, disposals, costing)
• Strong command of accounting software (Tally, QuickBooks, ERP systems, etc.)
• Experience in handling audits, compliance, and regulatory reporting
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage and oversee the full finance function independently
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
• Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with senior management
