Job Overview
UFL Logistics is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented **Accountant (Freight Forwarding)** to join our team in Dubai, UAE.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in freight forwarding accounting, UAE VAT compliance, and financial reporting within the logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations and general ledger
- Handle freight invoicing, vendor payables, and customer receivables
- Reconcile shipping lines, overseas agents, and supplier statements
- Verify job costing sheets to ensure accurate profit margins
- Prepare monthly financial reports and VAT filings
- Monitor cash flow and follow up on outstanding collections
- Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in compliance with company policies
& Qualifications
- **Experience:** Minimum 3–5 years of experience in freight forwarding accounting
- **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- **Knowledge:** Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws and shipping terminology
- **Skills:** Proficiency in freight accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- **Attributes:** Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and high attention to detail
