Analyze financial data, prepare and maintain records, and produce reports such as balance sheets and income statements.
The role includes payables and receivables, budgeting, compliance, and audit support.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain and oversee the general ledger and perform monthly and annual closings.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, tax returns, and accounting records.
- Reconcile bank statements and other accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Handle accounting and cost control.
- Manage payables and receivables and process invoices and payments on time.
- Assist with annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Support internal and external audits with documentation and information.
- Help ensure compliance with applicable financial laws and regulations.
- Monitor transactions for potential errors or fraud.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as an accountant or in a similar accounts and finance role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, including advanced Excel.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and organized, with verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
