Role Description
- The Client Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Doha, Qatar, working across a portfolio of SME clients to keep their financial records accurate, timely, and reliable.
- Our day-to-day bookkeeping is largely automated — clients enter data through our portal, which is processed within our ERP-driven platform, with reporting delivered through our analytics tools.
- Your role is to make sure that data is complete and correct, to keep client accounts on track, and to be a responsive point of contact for client questions.
- You'll work closely with our senior advisory team, supporting client meetings and reporting.
- In this role you will:
- Maintain and monitor the accounts of a portfolio of SME clients, ensuring data processed through our platform is accurate and complete.
- Perform and review bank reconciliations and support month-end and year-end completion.
- Check the integrity of client financial data and flag discrepancies for resolution.
- Prepare financial statements and management reports for review by the senior advisory team.
- Respond to client queries on their accounts and reporting in a timely, professional manner.
- Support senior advisors in preparing for and following up on monthly client meetings.
- Help ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of professional accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Solid technical accounting skills: reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and period-end close.
- Experience with cloud-based ERP and accounting software, plus strong Excel skills.
- Good knowledge of accounting standards and internal controls.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
- Clear written and verbal communication, with a client-friendly, professional manner.
- Located in or able to relocate to Doha, Qatar for on-site work.
- Professional certification (CMA) or progress toward one is a plus.
