Role Description
The Junior Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations, including recording journal entries, processing invoices, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable.
This full-time, on-site role in Doha, Qatar, will help maintain general ledgers, reconcile bank statements, and assist in preparing financial reports and schedules.
The Junior Accountant will collaborate with senior team members to support month-end and year-end closing activities and ensure accurate and timely data entry within accounting systems.
The role will also involve organizing financial records, assisting with audits, and responding to internal queries related to financial information.
The successful candidate will work closely with the advisory team to uphold strong financial controls and contribute to reliable reporting for clients.
Qualifications
- Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
- Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (e.g., spreadsheets, formulas, and basic data analysis).
- High attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and respond to client-related requests professionally.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant training and experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Doha, Qatar, and adapt to a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Interest in learning advisory and analytical aspects of finance; prior internship or junior experience in accounting or audit is an advantage.
- Familiarity with cloud-based financial tools and basic understanding of financial reporting or budgeting is a plus.
