Accountant – Asset Control

Asset Management

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all company assets, including property, plant, and equipment (PP&E), vehicles, and other assets.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure assets are properly tagged, labelled, and recorded.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts to verify asset existence and condition.

Inventory Management

• Manage and maintain inventory levels, including tracking receipts, issues, and transfers.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions in the accounting system.
• Conduct periodic inventory counts to verify quantities and identify discrepancies.

Asset and Inventory System/Tool

• Review various available tools for inventory and asset management.
• Finalise suitable tool as per company requirement and implement.
• Migrate data to system
• Tag all physical asset from floor to system and system to floor.

Depreciation Calculation

• Calculate depreciation for all assets, using approved depreciation methods and rates.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of depreciation in the accounting system.
• Movements and Transfers
• Manage and track asset movements, including transfers between departments, locations, and disposal.
• Ensure accurate and timely updating of asset records and accounting system.
• Controls and Process
• Develop, implement, and maintain asset and inventory management policies, procedures, and controls.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Tax Compliance

• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations related to asset and inventory management, including depreciation, capital allowances, and inventory valuation.
• To ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.
• Reporting and Analysis
• Prepare and submit regular reports to management, including asset and inventory valuations, depreciation, and variances.
• Analyse asset and inventory data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
• Audit and Compliance
• Ensure asset and inventory management practices are auditable and compliant with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with external auditors to ensure smooth audit processes.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting, controls, and reconciliations.
• Experience with ERP/Payroll systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, ADP, Paychex, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with reporting and data analysis.

• Strong knowledge of UAE law.

• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred

• Professional certifications (e.g., CA , CPA) are an advantage.
• Prior experience in multi-entity environments.
