Accounting responsibilities
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions accurately.
- Monitor restaurant sales and reconcile POS sales with cash, card, delivery platforms, and bank deposits.
- Prepare daily cash reports and perform cash and petty cash reconciliations.
- Record and monitor purchases, supplier invoices, credit notes, and supplier payments.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor bank balances.
- Monitor food and beverage purchases against sales and analyze food cost percentages.
- Maintain inventory records and assist with monthly stock counts and reconciliation.
- Analyze food cost, wastage, variance, and gross profit.
- Prepare monthly Trial Balance, Profit and Loss, and Balance Sheet reports.
- Assist with budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, and monthly MIS reports.
Additional duties
- Process and monitor staff payroll and related accounting entries.
- Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.
- Ensure proper recording of expenses, accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
- Assist with UAE VAT calculations, VAT returns, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and UAE financial regulations.
- Coordinate with auditors and provide required accounting documents.
- Maintain accurate and organized accounting records and supporting documents.
- Support management with financial analysis and reports for business decision-making.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Tally Prime for at least one year is required.
- English language proficiency is required.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred.
- At least one year of VAT knowledge and compliance experience is preferred.
- Three years of accounting or auditing experience is preferred.
- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Abu Dhabi before starting work is required.
Compensation
- The pay is AED 2,500 per month.
