The Account Manager works alongside the NAV Operations Manager to oversee investment analysts producing valuations and unit prices for clients.
The role includes client relationship management, reporting coordination, audit preparation, staff development, and fund take-on and due diligence.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure timely, accurate NAV calculations for a portfolio of funds and meet client reporting requirements.
- Provide unit prices in accordance with client SLAs.
- Oversee data entry, investment transaction capture, and reconciliation.
- Liaise with auditors and review and update team internal controls.
- Work with senior management on business development and implementation of new processes and controls.
- Implement and refine SSAE 18 controls.
- Manage client relationships, attend meetings, and maintain regular client contact.
- Respond to client enquiries in line with service standards.
- Develop process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and fund specifications.
- Supervise and train accounting staff.
Skills and experience
- 5–6 years of experience in a similar role incorporating the listed functions.
- Ability to work to and meet agreed deadlines.
- Accountancy qualification is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel, and Excel macros.
- HiPortfolio or Paxus knowledge or experience is preferred.
- High-level analytical and problem-solving skills.
