Job Title: Physical & Wireless Survey Engineer (Freelance Contract)
Job Overview
We are looking for experienced Physical Survey Engineers and Wireless Survey Engineers to support a short-term project in Doha, Qatar.
The selected engineers will conduct onsite infrastructure assessments and wireless surveys, document findings, and provide detailed reports to support network planning and deployment activities.
Physical Survey Engineer
- Conduct onsite physical infrastructure surveys.
- Assess network racks, cabling, patch panels, power availability, and equipment locations.
- Verify floor plans and document site conditions.
- Capture photographs and collect relevant site information.
- Prepare and submit detailed survey reports.
Wireless Survey Engineer
- Perform wireless site surveys using industry-standard tools.
- Assess Wi-Fi coverage, signal strength, interference, and capacity requirements.
- Identify optimal Access Point (AP) placement locations.
- Collect RF data and provide recommendations for wireless network improvements.
- Prepare comprehensive wireless survey reports and documentation.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience conducting physical and/or wireless surveys.
- Knowledge of networking infrastructure and wireless technologies.
- Experience with Wi-Fi survey tools such as Ekahau, AirMagnet, or similar solutions (for Wireless Survey Engineers).
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete assignments within project timelines.
- Good communication and client-facing skills.
