Parsons is hiring a Wet Utilities Inspector for its team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The role inspects wet utility works on site to verify installation, testing, and commissioning against approved drawings, specifications, standards, and HSE requirements.
Responsibilities
- Inspect water, drainage, and sewerage installation, including alignment, levels, and gradients.
- Verify compliance with approved designs, specifications, and applicable standards and codes.
- Monitor materials and workmanship, including trenching, excavation, bedding, backfilling, and reinstatement.
- Witness pressure, leakage, and flow testing and support commissioning readiness.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and utility stakeholders to resolve issues and corrective actions.
- Liaise with engineers and project management on technical discrepancies and design or interface coordination.
- Maintain inspection records and reports and ensure safe, environmentally compliant site practices, including waste disposal and stormwater controls.
Required qualifications and skills
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- At least seven years of relevant wet utilities inspection experience.
- Strong knowledge of water, drainage, and sewerage systems and applicable ASTM, BS, ISO, or local standards.
- Ability to interpret utility drawings, specifications, and ITP requirements.
- Strong reporting and communication skills, HSE awareness, and site coordination capability.
