Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular campus patrols and maintain a visible, approachable presence.
- Identify and support students experiencing distress, conflict, or medical concerns, referring them to Student Affairs, Counselling, or Medical Services when required.
- Monitor student behaviour and promote compliance with university policies.
- Respond to behavioural and welfare incidents using de-escalation techniques.
- Support emergency response procedures and coordinate with security teams for incidents requiring escalation.
- Maintain accurate incident reports while ensuring confidentiality.
- Collaborate with Student Affairs and the Student Welfare Unit to promote a safe and respectful campus environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in security, student welfare, customer service, hospitality, education, or a related field.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Empathy, emotional intelligence, and cultural sensitivity.
- Knowledge of safeguarding principles and emergency response procedures.
- First Aid certification is an advantage.
- Ability to prepare clear incident reports and maintain accurate records.
