Responsibilities: -
- Supervise and coordinate daily welding and fabrication activities at the project site.
- Ensure all welding operations are carried out in accordance with approved WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications), project requirements and relevant international standards.
- Monitor weld quality and ensure compliance with quality control requirements.
- Coordinate with QA/QC inspectors for weld inspections, NDT activities and documentation.
- Review drawings, specifications and work schedules to ensure proper execution of work.
- Allocate manpower, equipment and materials effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure strict compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
- Identify and resolve welding-related issues to minimize delays and rework.
- Monitor productivity and provide regular progress reports to project management.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of welding equipment and tools.
- Train, mentor and evaluate welding personnel to improve performance and skill levels.
Qualifications: -
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in welding supervision within marine, offshore, shipbuilding, oil & gas or heavy construction projects.
