Web Developer

About This Role

Web Development & Coding

• Develop responsive, cross-browser compatible, and accessible websites and web applications using modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Write clean, well-structured, maintainable, and documented code following industry best practices and coding standards.
• Build and customize content management system themes and plugins.
• Implement front-end frameworks and libraries to create dynamic and interactive user interfaces.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services to extend website functionality.

Website Maintenance & Optimization

• Maintain, update, and enhance existing websites, ensuring they remain secure, functional, and up-to-date with the latest technologies.
• Optimize website performance, including page load speed, image optimization, code minification, and caching strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and compatibility problems across different browsers and devices.
• Implement SEO best practices in collaboration with marketing teams to improve search engine visibility.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with UI/UX designers to translate design mockups and wireframes into fully functional web pages.
• Collaborate with back-end developers, project managers, and stakeholders to define technical requirements and project scope.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and incorporating feedback to improve code quality.
• Communicate technical concepts and solutions clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.

Quality Assurance & Testing

• Conduct thorough testing of websites and applications across multiple browsers, devices, and operating systems to ensure consistent functionality and appearance.
• Implement and maintain automated testing processes where appropriate.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using project management and bug tracking tools.
• Ensure compliance with web standards, accessibility guidelines, and security best practices.

Version Control & Documentation

• Use version control systems to manage code repositories, track changes, and collaborate with team members.
• Maintain technical documentation for codebases, development processes, and deployment procedures.
• Document website configurations, integrations, and custom functionality for future reference and maintenance.

Continuous Learning & Innovation

• Stay current with emerging web technologies, frameworks, tools, and industry trends.
• Proactively suggest improvements to existing websites, development workflows, and team practices.
• Experiment with new technologies and approaches to enhance the quality and efficiency of web development projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED970,000.00 per year
