Role overview
Remote role for an experienced, detail-oriented Luxury FF&E Estimator.
The estimator prepares accurate, competitive cost estimates using knowledge of furniture manufacturing, materials, finishes, and procurement.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare detailed FF&E estimates for luxury villas, hotels, resorts, serviced residences, and high-end commercial projects.
- Review architectural drawings, interior design packages, specifications, BOQs, and FF&E schedules.
- Prepare quantity take-offs and itemized pricing for furniture, upholstery, lighting, accessories, and other FF&E.
- Source and evaluate international supplier quotations; assess materials, finishes, production methods, and manufacturing costs.
- Prepare supplier comparisons and value-engineering proposals while maintaining design intent and quality.
- Calculate landed costs, including manufacturing, freight, customs duties, and logistics.
- Coordinate with procurement, design, and sales teams on commercial proposals.
- Maintain pricing databases, supplier records, and estimation documentation; support tenders and project budgets.
Candidate requirements
- Minimum five years of FF&E estimation experience; luxury residential and five-star hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of furniture manufacturing, materials, finishes, upholstery, joinery, and custom furniture production.
- Experience preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and supplier comparison sheets, and working with international furniture suppliers.
- Ability to interpret interior design drawings, technical specifications, and furniture schedules.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, commercial, organizational, and independent project-management skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
- Experience with luxury FF&E procurement companies, furniture manufacturers, or hospitality fit-out contractors is highly desirable.
