The position is based on site and involves supervising installation and managing construction work.
Responsibilities
- Supervise installation of waterproofing membranes, liquid coatings, and acoustic insulation systems.
- Manage site safety and compliance with specifications and regulations; supervise contractors and workers.
- Read technical and shop drawings and sound or waterproofing details.
- Schedule material deliveries and equipment use, and maintain quality standards.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and milestones; help ensure timely completion.
- Communicate with clients, architects, and contractors, and resolve construction issues.
- Conduct site surveys and report to senior management.
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- At least three years of relevant experience focused on waterproofing and acoustic insulation work.
- Experience in waterproofing and acoustic insulation is required.
- Knowledge of insulation materials, techniques, ASTM or local building codes, construction materials, and safety regulations.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM.
- Leadership, communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities; attention to detail and strong organization and time management.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license may be required.
