Wastewater Operator - RE

The Water Treatment Operator is responsible for the daily operation and upkeep of the Water Treatment Dept.

This will include, but not limited to, daily operations, inspections, equipment monitoring, and preventative maintenance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

Other duties may be assigned.

· Responsible for performing the tasks associated with the Water Treatment Operator.

· Responsible for loading and moving By-Product trailers and tankers.

· Responsible as daily point of contact for By-Product trailer deliveries and pick-ups.

· Responsible for filling out By-product Bill of Lading and attaching security seals where required.

· Responsible for cleaning Water Treatment area and equipment.

· Responsible for monitoring Water & Waste Treatment control systems and recording devices.

· Responsible for conducting preventative maintenance.

· Responsible for reporting any mechanical or process breakages/ deficiencies to the Maintenance Dept. for repair.

· Responsible for Daily Monitoring/ Lab testing of Water Treatment Effluent for process control.

· Assist with adjusting Water Treatment Effluent Process Control to stay within discharge limits.

· Responsible for Daily testing and operational maintenance of Plant Water Softeners.

· Responsible for completing and organizing daily records and paperwork.

· Clean and organize Water Treatment Dept./ work areas.

· Conduct snow removal according to plant needs assigned.

· Perform other duties as assigned (assist Dept. projects, assist Yard, etc.)
