Role

Key responsibilities

• Pick orders and organize pick sheets to minimize travel time.
• Verify products against pick sheets and retrieve the correct products.
• Wrap orders when required, build stock safely and logically on pallets, and stage orders in the correct areas.
• Input information into the company computer system.
• Assist warehouse colleagues, customers, couriers and samples staff as needed.
• Report shortages or discrepancies to the Supervisor or Order Desk.
• Perform daily equipment safety checks before order picking.
• Follow health and safety procedures and keep aisles free of obstructions, strapping, shrink-wrap and empty boxes.

Qualifications

• Valid forklift, order picker and electric walkie certifications are required.
• Secondary school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reverse Raymond Reach, Counterbalance and electric walkie certifications are listed as qualifications.
• WHMIS and T.G.D. certifications are listed as qualifications.
• Fall arrest training and certification are listed as qualifications.
• Warehouse experience is requested; one year is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication, ability to work at a fast pace and with minimal supervision, and reliability are required.
• Basic computer literacy is required; paper product knowledge is an asset.
