Customer Service Representative

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Receive and process customer telephone, fax, and email orders.
• Input orders into the system to support timely invoicing, warehouse printing, and product delivery.
• Provide product information, recommend substitutions or product groupings, and advise on efficient purchasing.
• Coordinate deliveries and source alternative products when required.
• Receive customer feedback and escalate or resolve issues.
• Maintain product knowledge and positive relationships with customers and the Outside Sales team.
• Monitor inventory and perform administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two years of sales and customer service experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent attention to detail, customer service, organization, and time-management skills.
• Punctual, dependable, reliable, self-directed, and self-motivated.
• Strong teamwork and team-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Fluency in English and French is an asset.

Working Conditions

• The role involves working at a computer for numerous hours, which may cause strain on the wrists, eyes, or back.
• The position is based in a busy, open-area office environment.
• Work may involve long periods of concentration, deadlines, and occasional weekend or evening hours.
