Role overview

King Living's Coquitlam warehouse receives containerized freight from global factories and distributes products to customers and showrooms across the region.

The Warehouse Operator / Reach Truck Operator manages inbound freight, inventory movements, order fulfillment, and dispatch in a hands-on warehouse role with shift autonomy.

Receiving and inbound freight

  • Unload and receive containerized freight, verify shipments against purchase orders and manifests, and promptly report shortages, discrepancies, or damage.

Put-away, picking, and staging

  • Put products away in correct locations within load limits and racking requirements.
  • Pick, pack, label, palletize, and stage customer orders on time, checking each order against shipping documentation.

Inventory accuracy

  • Record receipts and stock movements accurately in the warehouse management system.
  • Process returns and support cycle counts and inventory investigations.

Equipment and dispatch

  • Safely operate reach trucks, forklifts, and pallet jacks and complete pre-use inspections every shift.
  • Confirm carriers collect the correct products and that loading matches the paperwork, escalating delays or damage promptly.

Safety and teamwork

  • Keep aisles, racking, and workstations clean and hazard-free, use required protective equipment, and report incidents according to WorkSafeBC requirements.
  • Work closely with showrooms, drivers, carriers, Customer Experience, Spare Parts, and Service Technicians.

Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, shipping and receiving, distribution, or material-handling experience is required.
  • Reach-truck operating experience is required; narrow-aisle and elevated-racking experience is preferred.
  • Evidence of forklift training and company-approved training meeting CSA and WorkSafeBC requirements is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Warehouse management system, SAP, RF scanner, or computerized inventory system experience is an asset.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel, are required.

Work style and physical requirements

  • Strong attention to detail, organization, time management, and communication skills are required.
  • The role requires extended standing and walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds, and working around moving equipment and vehicle-loading areas.
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required operationally.

Compensation

  • Pay is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour depending on experience, plus benefits and staff discounts.

Why join King Living

  • The company offers career growth opportunities, company-approved training, employee and family and friends discounts, and a close warehouse team.
