Role overview

Warehouse duties

• Under supervision, receive, sort, label, scan, and store goods; verify shipment records and inspect items for damage or defects.
• Optimize warehouse space and update records for incoming and outgoing items.
• Route materials between departments and verify and pack items according to shipment specifications and transportation method.
• Fulfil customer orders and perform picking, packing, transshipment consolidation, and sorting tasks.
• Retrieve stored information, place orders, and respond to enquiries about inventory levels or delivery schedules.
• Resolve recurring delivery issues using established procedures and systems.
• Operate a gas- or electric-powered forklift under supervision to move, stack, stage, load, or unload materials; a high-reach truck may be used.
• Process freight documentation, scan incoming and outgoing shipments, and arrange daily pickup schedules and dispatch information.
• Check, use, and maintain forklifts and equipment daily; stay updated on equipment use and obtain related certifications.
• Support shipment processing and documentation, send status information, accept or secure over-the-counter payments, and answer basic shipment-tracking queries.

Education and experience

• Education level: vocational, specialized, technical, or certification.
• Experience level: less than two years.
