Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations

• Oversee daily warehouse functions including receiving, inspection, staging, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of home furnishing products.
• Ensure proper handling of bulky, fragile, and high‑value furniture items to prevent damage.
• Implement space‑optimization strategies for large items, modular furniture, and seasonal inventory.
• Maintain a clean, organized warehouse aligned with showroom‑quality standards.

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation.
• Oversee product labeling, barcoding, and WMS updates for furniture SKUs and décor items.
• Manage returns, repairs, refurbishments, and damage reporting.

Team Leadership

• Lead, train, and supervise warehouse associates, furniture handlers, forklift operators, and delivery prep teams.
• Develop staffing schedules based on inbound/outbound volume and seasonal peaks.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance.

Quality & Safety

• Enforce safe lifting, handling, and equipment operation practices specific to large and heavy furniture.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory standards, and warehouse safety protocols.
• Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and furniture‑handling tools.

Logistics & Coordination

• Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure timely dispatch and white‑glove delivery readiness.
• Work with procurement, retail stores, and customer service to resolve inventory or delivery issues.
• Manage relationships with transport providers, installers, and third‑party logistics partners.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse layout, workflow, and operational efficiency.
• Implement best practices for furniture storage, damage reduction, and order accuracy.
• Track and report KPIs such as order fulfillment rate, damage rate, inventory accuracy, and productivity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of warehouse or logistics experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in home furnishings, furniture logistics, or large‑item warehousing strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with WMS/ERP systems and inventory management tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage heavy workloads, seasonal peaks, and fast‑paced operations.
