Role overview
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of building systems.
Maintain electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other facility equipment in line with company standards and client requirements.
Maintenance duties
- Perform minor electrical repairs and troubleshoot faults in building systems.
- Replace defective electrical components and assist with preventive electrical maintenance.
- Maintain split AC and other systems by cleaning filters, inspecting drain lines, and checking cooling performance.
- Identify and report major HVAC defects and assist HVAC technicians with servicing and repair.
- Repair leaking taps, pipes, valves, and fixtures; attend to blocked drains, toilets, washbasins, and water-supply issues.
- Inspect water pumps, tanks, and plumbing systems; report issues requiring specialist repair.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and complaints.
- Identify faults, report recurring issues, recommend corrective actions, and maintain checklists and completion reports.
- Follow safety procedures and use PPE; maintain tools and equipment and keep the worksite clean.
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment defects, and material needs; comply with client-site regulations and company policies.
- Perform assigned duties within the role's scope and competency.
Qualifications and experience
- Minimum 2–3 years of building maintenance or facility-management experience.
- Practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance.
- ITI, vocational certificate, or relevant technical training is preferred.
- Commercial-building, residential-facility, or staff-accommodation experience is advantageous.
- Qatar experience and a valid Qatar driving licence are advantageous where applicable.
Required skills
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving; ability to manage multiple maintenance tasks.
- Basic understanding of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and reporting skills; able to respond under pressure to urgent requests.
Performance and safety
Performance measures include timely job completion, repair quality, fewer repeat complaints, preventive-maintenance compliance, and emergency response time.
Performance measures also include safety, housekeeping, proper control of tools and materials, and timely reporting.
Do not undertake specialized or high-risk electrical, HVAC, or other technical work beyond training, authorization, or competence.
Pay
- Pay starts at QAR 2,000 per month.
