Overview

Key Responsibilities

• **Guest Service:** Provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests. Engage with patrons in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction throughout their dining experience.
• **Order Management:** Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders into the POS system. Communicate special requests or dietary restrictions to the kitchen staff.
• **Food and Beverage Service:** Serve food and drinks to guests in an efficient and timely manner. Ensure that orders are presented attractively and meet the restaurant's high standards.
• **Knowledge of Menu:** Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and wine pairings. Be prepared to answer questions and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
• **Table Maintenance:** Set up and clear tables according to the restaurant's standards. Refill beverages, remove used dishes, and maintain cleanliness in the dining area.
• **Collaborate with Team:** Work closely with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure smooth operation and a seamless dining experience. Assist in training new staff as needed.
• **Upselling:** Suggest and promote additional items such as appetizers, desserts, and beverages to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
• **Handling Payments:** Process transactions accurately, handle cash and credit card payments, and provide guests with their receipts.

Qualifications

• **Experience:** Previous experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment is highly preferred.
• **Communication Skills:** Excellent verbal communication skills with a strong ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
• **Attention to Detail:** Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• **Appearance:** Well-groomed and dressed in accordance with the restaurant's uniform policy.
• **Physical Stamina:** Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift trays or food items as required.
• **Knowledge of Food Safety:** Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
