A Waiter/ess is responsible for serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while having extensive knowledge of menu offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
  • Delight our guests: Deliver exceptional guest service by maintaining a friendly, positive, and professional attitude while proactively creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Manage guest queries: Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Master the menu: Maintain extensive knowledge of menu offerings, promotions, specials, food ingredients, and beverage selections to confidently assist guests and make recommendations.
  • Serve food and beverages: Take food and beverage orders accurately, enter them into the point-of-sale system, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with licensing and liquor regulations.
  • Manage food service stations: Ensure mise-en-place and all floor stations are fully stocked, clean, organized, and prepared to support smooth service operations.
  • Follow reporting procedures: Adhere to established reporting procedures and communicate any guest concerns, operational issues, or incidents to management promptly.
  • Maintain professional standards: Uphold Hilton grooming standards, including uniform requirements, personal hygiene, and professional appearance at all times.
  • Comply with regulatory standards: Follow hotel security procedures, fire regulations, health and safety legislation, sanitation requirements, and alcohol awareness guidelines to ensure the well-being of guests and Team Members.
  • Support operational excellence: Work collaboratively with Team Members to deliver an efficient, high-quality dining experience that exceeds guest expectations.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Previous experience within a Food & Beverage operation or the hospitality industry.
  • Experience in cash handling and processing transactions accurately and responsibly.
  • Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations, food safety standards, and sanitation requirements.
  • Familiarity with restaurant service procedures and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
