Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Specialist

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited degree program in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) or related technology, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, advanced degree, with minimum of 4 years of related experience or in a related role, or equivalent education, training, and experience
• Attain and maintain continuing education credits for CM-BIM designation, preferred
• Able to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
• Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and specifications related to VDC
• Ability to develop specialized solutions and anticipate challenges, risks, and opportunities
• Professional verbal and written communication skills, able to engage in collaborative professional and technical dialogue with stakeholders, and ability to tailor communications for non-technical audiences
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail, able to manage competing demands, meet deadlines and commitments
• Able to review/assess work, provide feedback, and prioritize responsibilities for self and others that are not direct reports
• Basic scripting/coding skills (e.g., Dynamo, Python)
• Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office suite of applications, collaboration tools, and working knowledge of BIM based computer applications (e.g., Revit, Revizto, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), AutoCAD; similar BIM authoring/management tools)
• Familiar with animation software (e.g., Lumion, Twin Motion)
• Ability to interpret Reality Capture information within VDC workflows (e.g., deviation detection laser scan vs. model).
• Able to work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment
• Familiar with continuous improvement culture, concepts, principles, methods, and tools
