Video Editor – YouTube Gaming & Reactions
About This Role
Join a dynamic personal project focused on producing engaging YouTube content in the gaming, reaction, and review space. This role centers on editing face-cam videos, integrating short skits, and developing a distinctive editing style that enhances narrative flow and audience engagement. You will collaborate closely with the content creator, receiving detailed creative direction and references to ensure each video maintains a consistent, high-quality standard. The position is fully remote and offers the opportunity to shape the visual identity of a growing channel, with approximately eight videos produced monthly. Precision in editing, especially for comedic timing and impactful moments, is essential to deliver content that stands out and resonates with viewers.
Deliverables
- Edit and assemble 8 YouTube videos per month, each featuring gaming, reactions, and reviews.
- Integrate face-cam footage and short skits to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
- Apply creative direction and reference materials to establish a unique, recognizable editing style.
- Ensure precise timing for punchlines and key moments to maximize impact.
- Collaborate remotely with the content creator to adapt and refine editing approaches as needed.
- Maintain consistent quality and tone across all video outputs.
Requirements
- Proven experience editing YouTube content, preferably in gaming, reactions, or entertainment.
- Strong proficiency with industry-standard video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
- Demonstrated ability to craft engaging narratives and deliver sharp, impactful edits.
- Excellent sense of timing, pacing, and comedic delivery.
- Ability to interpret creative direction and adapt to evolving style requirements.
- Strong communication skills and openness to feedback.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
- Familiarity with YouTube trends and audience engagement strategies is a plus.
