Role Summary
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editing & Reels Intern to support the production of short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat, and Facebook.
The intern will help edit engaging videos, add captions and motion graphics, and optimize content for audience retention and social media performance.

Key Responsibilities
1.
Edit short-form videos (15–90 seconds) using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
2.
Create platform-optimized versions for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and other social channels.
3.
Add captions, subtitles, motion graphics, transitions, sound effects, music, and branding elements.
4.
Trim raw footage into concise, engaging stories with strong hooks in the first 3 seconds.
5.
Collaborate with the content and marketing team on concepts, shot selection, and publishing schedules.
6.
Maintain organized project files, assets, and export versions.
7.
Follow brand guidelines for colors, fonts, logo usage, and visual style.
8.
Review analytics and retention metrics to improve future edits.
9.
Support occasional long-form video edits, thumbnails, or basic graphic assets when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Basic proficiency in at least one video editing application (Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
- Understanding of vertical video formats (9:16) and social media content trends.
- Ability to work with captions, audio syncing, and basic color correction.
- Good time-management and communication skills.
- Portfolio, sample reels, class projects, or personal social media edits preferred.
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience with After Effects, motion graphics, or animated text.
- Familiarity with trending audio, meme formats, and creator-style editing.
- Basic understanding of social media analytics (watch time, retention, engagement).
- Photography or mobile videography experience.
Learning Outcomes
- By the end of the internship, the intern should be able to:
- Independently edit and export social-media-ready reels.
- Apply hooks, pacing, captions, and audio techniques that improve viewer retention.
- Work within a content calendar and brand guideline framework.
- Interpret basic performance metrics to refine editing decisions.
