Role Purpose

The Marsh Strategic Growth Initiatives Leader will lead and coordinate strategic growth initiatives across Marsh’s priority sectors in IMEA.

Working closely with Chief Commercial Officer, sector leadership and stakeholders across Marsh’s business lines, the role is responsible for translating strategic priorities into structured, executable programs and ensuring disciplined delivery through robust governance, stakeholder alignment, and performance tracking.

The role combines structured project management with strategic coordination and operational oversight to ensure growth initiatives are executed effectively and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth Initiative Delivery

Lead end-to-end delivery of sector growth initiatives, from scoping and planning through execution and impact measurement.

Translate sector strategies into structured project plans with defined milestones, deliverables, and success metrics.

Ensure initiatives are aligned to regional priorities and coordinated across business lines.

Apply appropriate project management methodologies to support effective and timely delivery.

Sector Planning & Leadership Integration

Support annual sector growth planning and translate strategic priorities into actionable roadmaps.

Structure and coordinate sector leadership forums to ensure clarity of priorities, decisions, and accountability.

Track execution of agreed action items and ensure follow-through across business lines and functions.

Maintain visibility of sector growth initiatives, priorities, and performance across cycles.

Governance, Oversight & Reporting

Establish and maintain governance structures for growth initiatives, including progress tracking, risk management, and escalation protocols.

Monitor performance against milestones, budgets, and commercial objectives.

Provide structured reporting and insights to sector leadership and senior management.

Maintain integrated tracking of initiative progress, dependencies, and outcomes across sectors.

Cross-Business Coordination & Resource Alignment

Act as a central coordination point between sector leaders and stakeholders across Marsh, Mercer, Oliver Wyman, and Guy Carpenter.

Facilitate alignment with support functions including Sales, Finance, Marketing and Communications.

Coordinate resource requirements for growth initiatives and identify execution constraints or dependencies.

Support consistent implementation of regional and global growth initiatives at sector level.

Market & Sector Engagement Support

Support the planning and coordination of market-facing initiatives, including campaigns, thought leadership, and industry engagement.

Work with marketing and communications teams to align growth initiatives with sector positioning and market priorities.

Coordinate internal and external stakeholder engagement activities that support sector growth objectives.

Performance Tracking, Pipeline Insight & Continuous Improvement

Develop and maintain dashboards to track initiative performance, pipeline impact, and sector growth outcomes.

Provide visibility into pipeline trends, growth drivers, and initiative effectiveness to support leadership decision-making.

Generate insights to refine sector growth strategies and improve execution effectiveness.

Identify opportunities to enhance growth execution processes and cross-business collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Finance, or related discipline.

Demonstrated experience in project or program management within professional services, consulting, financial services, insurance, or similar complex environments.

Experience working across matrix organizations and coordinating multiple stakeholders.

Experience supporting strategic programs, growth initiatives, or sector development activities.

Understanding of commercial growth drivers, pipeline development, or market expansion initiatives.

PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or similar project management certification preferred.

Skills & Competencies

Commercial awareness and understanding of growth drivers.
