Vice President Data, AI, and Applications
About This Role
Role Purpose
The EVP of Data, AI, and Applications drives the organization's data intelligence agenda, covering enterprise analytics, artificial intelligence and GenAI deployment, and application integration. This is a strategically critical role that will define how the orgnanization leverages its operational data to improve decision-making, automate processes, and create new service efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise data strategy, including data governance, master data management, and analytics platforms.
- Lead the AI and GenAI workstream, from use case identification through production deployment.
- Oversee the VP of Data Analytics, VP of AI/ML and GenAI.
- Ensure responsible AI practices, data privacy compliance, and algorithmic accountability.
- Manage relationships with cloud providers, analytics vendors, and AI technology partners.
- Build a culture of data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Define and track data quality, lineage, and accessibility standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering; advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of experience in data, analytics, and AI leadership roles.
- Hands-on knowledge of modern data stack technologies (cloud data warehouses, ML platforms, orchestration tools).
- Proven experience deploying GenAI solutions in enterprise environments.
- Deep understanding of data governance frameworks and UAE data residency requirements.
- Strong communication and business translation skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in asset-heavy industries such as utilities, or municipal services.
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi open data policy and UAE AI strategy 2031.
- Prior experience managing outsourced arrangements and hybrid delivery models.
