The Vice President – Compliance will lead the organization’s compliance framework, regulatory governance, and integrity standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead compliance strategy and framework; advise senior leadership and the Board.
- Monitor UAE, GCC, and relevant international regulations and assess business impact.
- Maintain policies, procedures, controls, and compliance standards; lead risk assessments and mitigation.
- Oversee AML, KYC, sanctions, regulatory reporting, reviews, investigations, audits, and regulatory examinations.
- Build and lead the compliance team; coordinate with Legal, Risk, Internal Audit, Finance, Operations, and business leaders.
- Maintain regulator and advisor relationships; develop reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and executive presentations.
- Promote ethics, accountability, compliance, and risk awareness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years in Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Risk, Legal, or a related field, including senior compliance leadership in a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks, AML/KYC, sanctions, governance, and compliance risk.
- Leadership, communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, strategic thinking, and executive decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage sensitive, confidential, and high-risk matters professionally.
- CAMS, ICA, or equivalent certification is advantageous; UAE or GCC regulatory experience is strongly preferred.
