Job Summary
The Vehicle Mechanic Cum Fleet Coordinator is responsible for the overall maintenance, operation, and administration of the company's vehicle fleet.
The role includes diagnosing and repairing vehicles, coordinating preventive maintenance, managing fleet records, ensuring RTA compliance, monitoring GPS tracking systems, controlling fuel consumption, managing traffic fines, and overseeing vehicle registration, insurance, procurement, and disposal.
The position ensures that all fleet vehicles are safe, roadworthy, cost-effective, and fully compliant with UAE regulations while supporting the smooth day-to-day transportation needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate servicing, repairs, and breakdown assistance.
- Monitor fleet operations, vehicle utilization, and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure timely renewal of vehicle registrations, insurance, permits, and other RTA requirements.
- Monitor vehicles through GPS tracking systems and prepare fleet performance reports.
- Track fuel consumption, analyze usage trends, and implement cost-control measures.
- Manage traffic fines, Salik records, and driver compliance with traffic regulations.
- Coordinate the purchase, registration, transfer, sale, and disposal of company vehicles.
- Maintain accurate fleet documentation, service records, and compliance reports.
- Liaise with workshops, suppliers, dealerships, insurance providers, and government authorities.
- Ensure all vehicles comply with company policies, safety standards, and UAE regulations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Technical Certification in Automobile Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and fleet coordination.
- Knowledge of UAE RTA regulations, GPS tracking systems, fleet management, and vehicle procurement processes.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid UAE Driving License preferred.
- Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per hour
