Responsibilities
- Inspect, maintain, and repair industrial valves (gate, globe, ball, butterfly, relief, and control valves).
- Perform valve disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and testing to ensure proper functionality.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and troubleshoot valve-related issues in pipelines and process systems.
- Calibrate and adjust valves to meet operational and safety standards.
- Document maintenance activities, test results, and repair reports.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians during shutdowns, installations, and commissioning.
Requirements
- Technical diploma or vocational training in mechanical engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in valve maintenance and repair (oil & gas, petrochemical, or industrial sectors preferred).
- Knowledge of valve types, materials, and applications.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and specifications.
- Familiarity with hydrostatic and pneumatic testing procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
