UX Intern

About you:

You’re interested in working in both UX design and UX research. You’re a self-starter, driven to understand how and why people use technology so you can help create better ways of working for our users. You interject yourself into the conversation to ask questions that help others clarify any issues, assumptions, and risks. You can put people at ease and are easy to talk to. You are curious and want to help your team answer their toughest questions by learning from others and working together.

You will work across different product teams to provide insights derived from working with our customers. You will also engage in spreading UX concepts across the company alongside the larger UX team. You are passionate about participating in a UX driven culture and welcome new challenges.

What you’ll do:

Within 30 days

Onboarding (Figma, etc.)

Provide feedback of your experience and identify any gaps in your onboarding

Get to know your team and the rest of the organization

Gain a basic understanding of the problem space

Build a relationship with the global UX organization

Contribute to our internal design guidelines based on best practices

Beyond 60 days

Develop prototypes, screenshots, wireframes -- whatever gets the job done

Quickly and thoughtfully incorporate team feedback into designs

Engaging in e.g., workshops, interview sessions, survey development, usability testing, competitor analysis, etc. Whatever research is needed by our product teams.

Presenting your work to stakeholders

Requirements:

Curiosity, a willingness to try new things and a love of learning

Openness – The ability to take on new challenges and learn new things.

Conscientiousness – The ability to work independently and deliver high-quality work.

Extraversion – The ability to communicate directly with customers and users, and to present your work clearly and effectively to different stakeholders as needed

Agreeableness – Be kind and thoughtful. We value people who are respectful of others and who are willing to jump in and help where and when needed.
