Qualifications

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: Before you can be formally considered, verify your work study award with the UMR Employment Office and include your Community Service Program Work Study Referral form with this application.
  • This opportunity is open to applicants who meet all the following:
  • Currently enrolled at the University of Minnesota - Rochester (UMR)
  • Graduated from high school or obtained a GED
  • Granted and accepted a financial work study award of $2,700 for an academic year
  • If you are selected for this position, you will be required to work a minimum of 8-10 hours per week.
  • Additional Qualifications
  • Ability to be attentive to details and to adhere to strict safety requirements for handling chemicals, reagents and infectious agents
  • Computer or keyboarding experience
  • Good human relations skills and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
