Overview

Mobile User Experience Strategy

• Design end-to-end mobile experiences for iOS and Android that simplify the donation process
• Develop mobile-specific user flows and onboarding journeys that reinforce our client's mission
• Create adaptive designs optimized for real-life mobile use cases like micro-moments and on-the-go giving

Mobile Interface & Visual Design

• Design accessible and visually engaging UI in line with platform guidelines (iOS HIG, Material Design)
• Create mobile screens and layouts that tell powerful impact stories through design
• Build interfaces that balance design elegance with mobile performance constraints

Interaction & Motion Design

• Design intuitive touch interactions, micro-interactions, and animations that enhance usability
• Develop alert and notification components that drive donor re-engagement
• Ensure mobile tap targets and interactive elements are optimized for small screens

Mobile User Research

• Conduct usability tests and user interviews focused on mobile experiences
• Leverage mobile analytics to uncover behavioral insights and improve design decisions
• Create donor personas and journey maps reflecting different motivations and giving behaviors

Prototyping & Validation

• Build interactive mobile prototypes in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Test design concepts across various devices and screen sizes
• Iterate based on feedback from user testing and technical feasibility

Design System & Developer Collaboration

• Create and maintain a mobile-specific design system with reusable components
• Document guidelines for consistent mobile experience across iOS and Android
• Partner with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation of UI designs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field
• 6+ years of experience designing mobile UI/UX with a portfolio of mobile-first projects
• Proficiency in mobile design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.
• In-depth understanding of platform guidelines and mobile usability principles
• Experience conducting mobile user research and A/B testing
• Strong visual design skills with command of layout, typography, and accessibility

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in nonprofit, philanthropy, or social impact organizations
• Knowledge of donation flows, fundraising UX, and impact storytelling
• Understanding of mobile performance optimization and accessibility standards
• Experience with mobile motion design and animation
• Familiarity with mobile development processes and constraints
• Knowledge of mobile engagement techniques and notification design
