Overview Of The Role
- The Sales Assistant is responsible for generating sales and delivering a positive customer experience. They carry out a variety of operational duties as delegated by the store management team, including maintaining store cleanliness and visual presentation standards. A key focus is on creating a welcoming environment and providing excellent service to enhance customer satisfaction.
Customer Service
- Creates a positive first impression for the customer through an energetic attitude and adhering to dress code
- Greets customers immediately upon entering the store with a smile and sincere non-business like greeting
- Provides customers with current relevant information about the product
- Provides quality service in the fitting rooms, follows up with customers in a timely manner
- Sales and Checkout
- Provides efficient service at the cash wrap, offers gift cards, maintains cash wrap cleanliness and captures customer information in the database
- Attempts to add on to the sale by recommending complementary products
- Sincerely thanks all customers for shopping as they exit the store, and invites them back
Store Maintenance
- Creates a sparkling clean and organized environment by maintaining store standards and cleanliness
- Maintains cash wrap cleanliness
- Assists in housekeeping duties as assigned by the store management team
Required Skills To Be Successful
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment
- Proficiency in utilizing point-of-sale systems
• High School Degree
- 1-2 years of retail sales experience
- Ability to use computer-aided design (CAD) packages, such as AutoCAD, Sketchup, Illustrator, or Photoshop to create visuals and plans
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to perform some heavy lifting
- Capacity to stand for a minimum of 8 hours
