The Reception Supervisor oversees workshop resources, service quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance in an automotive aftersales operation.
The role supervises service advisors and works closely with the Parts department on parts availability and warranty processes.
Customer service
- Promote customer-centric service and customer-service values through Service Advisors and aftersales executives.
- Monitor material handling equipment downtime and customer feedback after service.
Parts, warranty, and financial performance
- Check pre-order forms and coordinate parts availability with the Parts department.
- Monitor warranty jobs, job-card accuracy, and warranty claims.
- Drive service and parts gross margin, service contract ratio, parts sales, and accessories sales against targets.
- Track results using BIW reports and monthly KPI dashboards.
Operational efficiency
- Ensure departmental procedures are followed and organize resources for peak periods and high service-request volumes.
- Maintain workshop efficiency and ensure repair and service work follows quality and safety guidelines.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or a related field.
- At least 4 years as an automotive Reception Supervisor or Manager.
- Experience managing 10–15 staff in an aftersales environment; material handling equipment experience is preferred.
- English communication, vehicle diagnosis and repair knowledge, analytical thinking, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP, and a valid UAE driver’s license.
