Role overview

The Data Scientist will build and productionize data science and machine learning solutions for Sia clients across the Middle East.

The role spans data acquisition, exploration, modelling, evaluation, and presenting results to client stakeholders.

Projects include predictive analytics, machine learning, NLP, generative AI, data platforms, pipelines, and visualization.

Responsibilities

  • Define data needs, business objectives, and success measures with client leaders, engineers, and analysts.
  • Find, collect, prepare, and explore structured and unstructured data.
  • Build, evaluate, and productionize predictive models and machine learning algorithms, including NLP and generative AI use cases.
  • Build and manage data pipelines and the supporting production data ecosystem.
  • Create dashboards and visualizations; present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deploy solutions on cloud environments.
  • Support business development through opportunity identification, proposals, and client presentations.
  • Contribute to internal data science accelerators and carry out other appropriate delegated duties.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Computer Science, AI, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • 4 to 6 years of experience as a data scientist or in a comparable applied machine learning role.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills and a solid understanding of machine learning and statistical techniques.
  • Experience taking models from exploration to production and working with large structured and unstructured datasets.
  • Experience with data pipelines and data ecosystem management.
  • Proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, or similar data visualization tools.
  • Experience presenting to client stakeholders, with strong problem-solving skills and business acumen.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required; Arabic is a plus.
  • Must be based in the UAE, in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
  • AI/ML, data science, or cloud platform certification is a plus; management consulting experience is not required.
