Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate automated and manual saws to cut wood components according to design specifications and production schedules
  • Measure and mark materials to ensure accurate cuts
  • Inspect materials for defects and ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain saw equipment, including routine cleaning and minor adjustments
  • Follow all workplace safety guidelines and procedures
  • Work closely with truss assemblers and production team members to ensure workflow efficiency
  • Monitor inventory of lumber and report shortages or issues

Requirements

  • Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience operating truss equipment and saws.
  • Ability to read measuring tools (tape measure, square, etc.) accurately
  • Basic understanding of construction or framing concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods
  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices
