We are seeking an experienced Transportation Manager to lead and optimize our inland transportation operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compliant transport activities while driving performance, safety, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all inland transportation operations in line with company policies and procedures
- Plan, schedule, and supervise shipments from origin to final delivery
- Develop and optimize daily and weekly routing plans
- Monitor driver performance, routes, and working hours to ensure efficiency and compliance
- Utilize TMS and GPS systems to track shipments and fleet activity
- Control transportation budgets, reduce costs, and maximize operational profitability
- Maintain accurate records for fleet, schedules, compliance, and operations
- Ensure vehicles are properly maintained and aligned with maintenance schedules
- Drive initiatives to improve fuel efficiency and reduce operational risks
- Ensure compliance with all Saudi regulations, safety, and environmental standards
- Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve operational excellence
- Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders for seamless operations
- Negotiate and manage agreements with transport providers and freight partners
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
- 7–8 years of experience in transportation and logistics operations
- Proven experience in a leadership role managing teams and operations
- Strong knowledge of transportation methods, costs, and optimization strategies
- Experience with logistics systems (TMS, tracking tools, etc.)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Fluent in Arabic and English
