Transportation Logistics Specialist

Uber Freight is looking for experienced customer service professionals with a background in the Transportation, Supply Chain or Logistics field. Our specialists will lead transportation functions to ensure accurate, timely delivery of products in the most efficient and cost-effective manner all while providing excellent customer service to our customers. This is a hybrid position based out of our customer’s office hub in Garland, TX, with a standard schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

What the Candidate Will Do

Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to its fullest potential in order to facilitate the life cycle of an order

Exceed customer on time pick-up and delivery expectations

Establish and maintain effective relationships with carriers contracted to the account as well as other carriers operating in your geographical region

Effective and timely freight coverage and carrier selection through systemic routing guide and spot shipments including rate negotiation

Leverage TMS to effectively route and consolidate orders considering best cost and transit options for all transportation modes

Monitoring and resolving shipment data errors

Proactive analysis to prevent service failures

Proactively develop, recommend and implement cost savings and/or service improvement programs in support of the transportation strategy

Professional and timely communications

Identify patterns with shipper, receiver, and carrier performance and recommend actions for improvement

Resolve carrier invoice discrepancies in TMS financials

Train new customer and vendor users on the TMS, demonstrating knowledge of customer business practices and workflow
