Role overview
Strengthen oversight of group-wide transformation initiatives by assessing evidence, business readiness, and expected benefits.
This is an assurance-focused role, not a delivery role; independently assess assigned initiatives, identify risks, challenge status, and advise senior leadership.
Typically oversee four to five transformation initiatives within a group-wide programme.
Assurance responsibilities
- Validate milestones and deliverables against evidence and monitor cross-initiative dependencies and risks.
- Assess readiness across people, processes, systems, and data; track benefits and escalate deviations early.
- Challenge initiative owners and programme leads constructively using evidence and recommendations.
- Prepare assurance reports and management packs, contribute to transformation forums, and maintain consistent governed status reporting.
- Use dashboards and governed data to monitor progress and support decisions.
- Apply AI-assisted tools to track evidence, analyse issues, and improve assurance efficiency and accuracy.
Experience and qualifications
- Require 10+ years in programme management, PMO, transformation, or assurance, with direct responsibility for complex change delivery or assurance.
- Require knowledge of stage-gate reviews, milestone tracking, benefits realisation, business readiness, change management, PMO practices, and business adoption.
- Require ability to assess progress independently, identify gaps, and challenge status with evidence.
- Candidates must be able to explain a transformation initiative they personally delivered or assured, including challenges and resulting improvements or decisions.
- Require strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder management skills, and comfort working with dashboards, governed data, and technical teams.
- Construction, real estate, infrastructure, or multi-entity organisation experience is preferred; Gulf or wider MENA experience is an advantage.
Essential AI fluency
- Practical use of AI as a core working tool is mandatory; candidates must provide specific professional examples.
- Examples include verifying reported progress against documents, identifying risks or readiness issues from project information, and preparing reports with findings checked against original sources.
